REGULAR MEETING

PRESENT: Jones, Kuechler, Andrews, Edwards, Nesspor(Porter, MacLeod, Dempsey)

ACTIONS TAKEN BY VOTE TO:

Approve meeting agenda
Approve meeting minutes from March 14
Require Haven Harbour South to conduct impact study on Chesapeake Avenue water main before Council can approve new metered 6” and 4” hookups
Sign letter on transfer agreement for WGL solar energy project
Appoint John A. Groves as volunteer in charge of seasonal tram operations
Approve Groves’ proposed tram operating schedule (May 23 to October 27)
Sign letter of support for Main Street committee’s 2020 operating assistance grant application to cover manager salary, and marketing/outreach

ACTIONS TAKEN WITHOUT VOTE TO:

Defer action on request for grant from Stories of the Chesapeake until FY20 budget is taken up
Refer matter of maintaining ball fields to Parks & Rec Board for discussion and recommendation
Defer consideration of Town Manager job description to May 9 meeting

Kevin Middleton’s 37 years of service to Town cited inCommunity Spirit award
Board of Elections members sworn in (Nancy Robinson, member; Linda Buckle and Ed Cecil, alternates)
Rock Hall museum will not be on county-wide tour May 4 due to Town election
Easter egg hunt at Civic Center April 20
Clarifier replacement bearing to be donated, with cost to Town to re-install estimated at $500
Water main leaks on Sharp Street and Rte. 20 to be repaired, per Jones
